What’s up with the Chuck Norris jokes

What’s up with the Chuck Norris jokes? You can’t get on Facebook or any other social network site and not see some kind of Chuck Norris joke.  I started coming across them on Tweeter and was little surprised they were still going. Come to find out they’re more popular than ever thanks to the internet.

I remember back in grade school talking with my friends about how bad ass Chuck Norris was. Then he was starring in the Delta Force movies. At the end of one of his movies a car comes speeding at Chuck Norris and he does a jump kick right through the front windshield breaking the guy’s neck and killing him on the spot.

In real life Chuck Norris is a true bad ass, he held the professional middleweight karate champion title for six consecutive years. His record was 183 wins 10 losses and 2 ties. Chuck Norris really could kick some ass. He owns many karate schools and was the third westerner to honored with the rank of 8th degree black belt Grand Master.

Chuck Norris was a huge hit on the TV screen as well with the hit show Walker, Texas Ranger. Truly a man with the Midas touch, everything he is involved with turns to gold. Before Walker, Texas Rangers; Dodge couldn’t hardly sell a truck, then with a new body style pickup driven by Chuck Norris on the show. The sells of Dodge trucks skyrocketed, The Total Gym infomercials still airing today featuring Chuck Norris are driving up sells for the home gym.

Everything that Chuck Norris is around turns into a hit. His success is larger than life. So it does not surprise me that people have elevated him to larger than life status along the lines of tall tales like Pecos Bill and Paul Bunyan.
